Manfred Dachs was born in Austria. After his studies in Social Work in Vienna he moved to Zurich and has been working for the public administration of Stadt Zurich since 2004.
He acquired his management skills by completing a Master of Advanced Studies in Public Management at the ZHAW - School of Management and Law, Winterthur, from 2011- 2013.

Since 2014 Manfred Dachs is Executive Director of the Nunzio Impellizzeri Dance Company.
